Amazed

This is done last week. Didn’t really know what to do with the photo as it’s not really that nice taken. DD was crawling when I took the photo and somehow I don’t like the angle and feel bad if throw away. So decided to do sb with this one.I trimmed the photo… alot and make it into maybe … oval shape? LOL! Well, my initial plan LO was not this one but so far I don’t have any LO that stay the same as I plan in mind before I get my hand started. Well, I think this is fate. I’m not allow to copy directly.. opps! The right word should be scraplift!

Which album??? October 28, 2007

My DD’s 6×6 MM album

My DD’s 6×6 MM Album

Initially I plan to do 9×9 album since it’s not a big shock for me who is doing 6×6 all this while, if I wish to upgrade to a bigger album. I found that 12×12 is huge (maybe mentally illusion) but when I hold the 12×12 cardstock in hand and imagine a 12×12 album… I kind of fear of:1) Hubby sure will kill me if he sees such a big album (in other words, spend extra money in sb which to him is not neccessary);

2) May take up more of ‘ME’ time to complete or even drag for longer period since this is a big LO and time is not always by my side;

3) More cardstock and pattern paper to be purchased. I will have a really big hole in the pocket since I’m also addicted to other stuff like knitting and modern cloth diapering… Gosh! Why the hell I’m addicted to so many things at once… *Sigh*

So, back to the album, 9×9 is not really a popular size (really?) since not many manufacturer carry it. I only manage to find Making Memories (MM) in local sb store and the price is… Wow! Imagine I can get one 12×12 album with almost the same price as MM. Well yes, I’m reluctant to get the 9×9 album now.

Just a quick look at MM 9×9 album and other 12×12 album and of course we have more choices for the 12×12 (some are easy on the pocket too).  No doubt by having a bigger size album and bigger LO I have the chance to play around more with the techniques and lots of artistic stuff in there. That’s a plus point… downside is the desire to buy is getting greater as only that you will have enough papers and embellishment to decorate the bigger LO. How am I going to play sb in a frugal way? This is another big challenge…

Difficult decision… thinking hard… comparing, considering, calculating, planning,… I have very conflicting mind now…

Recycling the use of Nail Polish October 25, 2007

Oh, it’s on the brad! There are times when I need a particular colours of brad to complement the LO and I couldn’t find the colour of the brad that matches. Instead of buying, I transformed them using nail polish which I abandoned for sometimes.

I collected a few small bottles of nail polish from my sisters who are no longer using on their fingernails or toenails and use for colouring my brad.

All the brad I used in this LO except the green colour are not in their original colours. Seen here in the LO are brads in red (become dark red after I coloured on the original pink brad), white and shimmer silver. Those are brad with originally light colours in pink, blue and purple. So, I got the colours I want without spending any cents… LOL!

Precious One

 This is the layout for my very firt time participating in a scrapbooking challenge, very excited to join. It is hosted by ScrappinKids. I’ve been thinking since I’m doing all about my little girl’s scrapbook, I think this is a good start for me to get involve (and get serious too!). Well, hope I’m not too late in submitting my layout. Sorry as I don’t trim the LO nicely… well, practise makes perfect. :)

The journaling of the LO goes:

We never knew your existence till 9 weeks old. We went thru placenta previa horror and later worry why you still love staying inside mummy’s tummy even it’s way passed the due date. Everyone prayed hard till the day you arrived. You are the sunshine & apple of ours. We always love you as you are coz you are our little precious one!
