Yes, I did that and I am thinking maybe will try out using water colour pencils in my LO too. It gives an interesting views on the LO and it’s not as messy as using paint. I don’t have the luxury time (yes, time is very important for me now!) to play with paint but maybe one day if I happen to use chipboards and happen to have the extra time and paints on

hand… who knows?bday-details.jpg

By the way, this is also my first 12×12 LO and it’s so fun having more space to play around.

Challenge – First Birthday Card November 8, 2007

ValBdCard

I did this card for a local birthday card challenge. A very simple one but I used almost 3 hours to complete!!! I used cut-outs from pattern paper and brochures. I use glue dots on sequins and trace around the sequins with gel pen. The tricky part must be tying the ribbons. Ok… maybe I’m not so familiar with ribbons yet.

Well, when I think back actually not that long because the first 1 & 1/2 hours I was busy in tracing and cutting pretty prints and fonts from wedding invitation cards and brochures. Oh yes… I support recycle very much and there are really pretty stuff from those commercial cards which can be used as embellishment for scrapbooking.

Recycling the use of Nail Polish October 25, 2007

Oh, it’s on the brad! There are times when I need a particular colours of brad to complement the LO and I couldn’t find the colour of the brad that matches. Instead of buying, I transformed them using nail polish which I abandoned for sometimes.

I collected a few small bottles of nail polish from my sisters who are no longer using on their fingernails or toenails and use for colouring my brad.

All the brad I used in this LO except the green colour are not in their original colours. Seen here in the LO are brads in red (become dark red after I coloured on the original pink brad), white and shimmer silver. Those are brad with originally light colours in pink, blue and purple. So, I got the colours I want without spending any cents… LOL!
